小説を書いてみたいけど何を書いていいのかわからないって人がいたら、「じゃあまず好きな作家の作品を丸ごと手書きで写してみなよ」と言う。書き写し慣れたら「言葉遣いが違うなと思ったら、意味が変わらないように修正してみなよ」とアドバイスする。確実に上達する。
